This joint suit was instituted by twelve Negroes, eleven men and one woman, who allege they sustained physical injuries as a result of a collision between a Ford truck in which they were riding and a passenger bus, which occurred about 4:30 a. m., on November 19, 1949, at a point where Louisiana Highway 670 (known as the Paul Maillard Road) intersects U.
