The respondent was convicted and sentenced in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey on an indictment in seven counts charging willful evasion of income taxes for the years 1946 to 1950 inclusive, and willful failure to make income tax returns for the years 1949 and 1950.

Following his conviction this court, on June 15, 1953, suspended the respondent pending the outcome of an appeal...
