Appellee and appellant were involved in an automobile collision which occurred on U.S. Highway 112 in Cass County, Michigan, about 10 miles north of Elkhart, Indiana. Appellant was seriously injured in the collision and was taken to a hospital at Elkhart, Indiana, in an unconscious or semi-conscious condition, where he was confined for several weeks.
