Victor H. Burno, a duly licensed architect, brought this suit against Mr. and Mrs. Walter F. Williams alleging that, under a verbal contract made with them, he prepared plans and specifications for a residence; that these plans and specifications were accepted by them; that they agreed to pay him a fee fixed at three per cent of the cost of building the residence; that the residence was not built by defendants but could have been built for $40,000...
