This is a condemnation proceeding instituted by the Virginia Electric and Power Company, a public service corporation, against John H. Marks and a number of other defendants, owners of several tracts of land, for the purpose of acquiring a perpetual easement or right of way over their lands, for the construction, operation and maintenance of its electric power transmission lines.
