This suit presents the claim of Elizabeth C. Morrell, as beneficiary, to the proceeds of a policy of National Service Life Insurance in the amount of $10,000 issued to her husband, Major Raymond C. Morrell, during his service as a member of the armed forces. The claim was first presented to the Veterans' Administration but was denied on the ground that the policy had lapsed prior to the death of the insured for non-payment of premiums. Suit was...
