Zora R. Brannock filed a complaint in the circuit court of Cook county against the City of Chicago to recover damages of $10,000 for personal injuries alleged to have been inflicted by a "mob" as defined in Section 1 of "An Act to suppress mob violence," (par. 512, ch. 38, Ill. Rev. Stat. 1951 [Jones Ill. Stats. Ann. 1951, 37.481]). Issue was joined. A trial resulted in a verdict against defendant for $1,000. Motions...
