This is an action pursuant to article 15 of the Real Property Law wherein plaintiff seeks a determination that he is the owner of certain real property situate in the town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, free and clear of any claim of title or interest of the defendants. His source of title originates under and by virtue of a sale of the premises held in November, 1943, for unpaid 1942-43 taxes covering the taxable
