Appellant, Galen Howard, was indicted for the murder of Jack Begley at the September Term, 1950, of the Perry circuit court. At a trial on the 8th day of November, 1950, he was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and his punishment fixed at 10 years confinement in the state reformatory.
