The testatrix, Julia M. Watson, died on January 29, 1927. This proceeding is for the construction of her will, executed April 28, 1917, wherein she provided as follows:

"FIRST: I give and bequeath to my sister Jeanette Millard Gilbert of Clayville, New York an annuity of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.) to be paid to her in two equal semi-annual installments during the term of her natural life...
