The plaintiff, an employee of the defendant the City of New York, has brought this action to recover unpaid increments of salary and a cost of living bonus for the period between March 10, 1941, and June 29, 1945, during which time he was on military leave and serving in the armed forces of the United States, after having been activated with his National Guard unit.
