This is a suit brought under the workmen's compensation law by Noel Johnson, colored, a freight handler, to recover compensation from his employer, W. L. Richeson & Sons, Inc., by whom he was employed on September 16, 1948, on which date, during the course and scope of his employment, he met with an accident. The occurrence of the accident is admitted; plaintiff was engaged in moving barrels of asphalt, each weighing about 380 pounds, by handtruck...
