Plaintiffs brought this action to recover damages for the death of their son Gary (then in his ninth year) killed in a collision with a gas truck, driven by defendant Bowman. The truck was owned by, and being operated in the business of, the Covey Gas & Oil Co. The deceased had alighted from a school bus, which had stopped on the far side of the highway opposite his home, and, as he attempted to cross the highway, he was struck by the truck. The...
