This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of the plaintiff (appellee) entered upon a verdict of a jury in an action to recover for personal injuries. The plaintiff lost a leg and an arm and was otherwise injured, in the railroad yards of the defendant (appellant) in Sioux City, Iowa, on the night of February 11, 1947. In his complaint the plaintiff alleged that the accident and his injuries resulted from the negligent failure of the defendant...
