For some time prior to 1947, the defendant, Richard P. Heiser, was the owner of a tract of land, approximately forty acres in extent, in section 7, township 22 north, range 6 east W.M., King county. The tract had been improved with a dance hall, a tavern, log cabins, picnic grounds, baseball field, tennis courts, and contained a lake suitable for boating and swimming.
