For a number of years William G. Kelly, hereinafter referred to as deceased, was employed by the Elks' Lodge at Winslow, Arizona, as custodian of the building and manager of the lodge. On August 22, 1949, he was injured by a fall on his way to work. The fall occurred on the premises of the lodge as deceased walked along the concrete pavement leading from the street to the entrance of the Elks' Building.
