These two appeals involve two separate sinkings of the Deisel Towboat "Judge Ross," owned by C. V. Ciconett and covered by an insurance policy issued by The Home Insurance Company.

The policy of insurance was originally issued October 10, 1942 for a period of one year in the amount of $8,500. It was renewed by annual certificates extending the insurance through the periods covered by the two sinkings. The first sinking occurred on September...
