The plaintiff in error brought suit in the circuit court of Monroe County for damages for the negligent killing of his minor son. Young Standridge, age 17, was killed by a truck that was owned by the defendant, J.M. Godsey, and driven by his codefendant, Melton, on November 26, 1947.
