Lillian Rardin and Robert L. Rardin were married at Evanston, Illinois, on August 24, 1935. Two children were born of the marriage, namely, Robert, on February 29, 1936, and Joanne on March 30, 1938. On October 31, 1945, Lillian filed an amended complaint for divorce in the superior court of Cook county, charging extreme and repeated cruelty.
