About six o'clock on the evening of February 21, 1945, the plaintiffs, Fred Slenker, and his wife, Elizabeth Slenker, were riding in a DeSoto automobile being driven by Mr. Slenker on State Route 150 in a southeasterly direction about one and one-half miles north of Orion, Illinois. At the same time, David W. Gordon was driving his automobile in a northwesterly direction along the same route, and a collision occurred...
