Jefferson Davis brought this suit under the Workmen's Compensation Law of Louisiana, Act No. 20 of 1914, as amended. He made defendants, Brown's Velvet Dairy Products, Inc., his employer, and New Amsterdam Casualty Company, the employer's compensation insurance carrier, and he prayed for solidary judgment against the two defendants for $20 per week for 400 weeks.
