On December 9, 1931, defendants executed a promissory note payable to the Banco Territorial & Agricola de Puerto Rico or order in the amount of $12,000 due January 15, 1932. The assets of the Bank, including the note, were liquidated and ultimately assigned to the plaintiff. On March 10, 1943, the plaintiff sued for collection of this note in the District Court of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The District Court entered judgment for the plaintiff...
