George Danko sued Ernest B. Lewy as a warehouseman on an oral contract of bailment for the recovery of damages for the loss of household effects which were destroyed by fire in the warehouse on September 15, 1943. The suit was for the amount of $4,343.50, and the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff for $2,000.
