Ruth P. Bull recovered judgment in the District Court for the face value of a policy of insurance issued by the defendant, the Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, upon the life of her husband, Richard Bull. The defendant has appealed from the judgment.

The only question presented here is one of law, that is, the proper construction of the insurance contract. The policy at the time of its issuance...
