The appellants, several hundred in number, are the plaintiffs and intervenors in a suit in the District Court to recover a tract of land in the Southern District of Texas, and compensation for oil taken therefrom. They sue as the collateral relatives and devisees of a Wilson Strickland who was born in Georgia in 1783 the son of Jacob and Priscilla Strickland, and who married Polly Conally in that State in 1809, she dying there in 1840, and who...
