In this condemnation proceeding brought on April 1, 1941, pursuant to 40 U.S.C.A. § 258a, the United States acquired on that date title to property known as Wallabout Market, in the Borough of Brooklyn, City of New York. The sum of $4,000,000 was deposited with the clerk of the District Court as the estimated just compensation for the lands and improvements taken, but no allocation thereof was made between separate portions of the premises...
