John Lewis Tiller, a sergeant of police in the employ of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company, was fatally injured while on duty at 7 P. M. on the evening of March 20, 1940, when he was struck by a railroad car in the Clopton Yard of the Railroad Company near Richmond, Virginia.
