This action arises under the Federal Employers' Liability Act. The accident took place on January 25, 1942, at Rock Island in the State of Illinois, where plaintiff was employed and resided, and still resides. Paragraph V of defendants' answer sets forth certain payments or advancements made to the plaintiff after he was injured.
