On April 19, 1939, the Hamilton-Brown Shoe Company filed its petition for a corporate reorganization under the provisions of Chapter X of the Bankruptcy Act, 11 U.S.C.A. § 501 et seq., and James J. Vardaman and John W. Lake were appointed co-trustees to effect the reorganization.
