The S. T. McKnight company is, and long has been, the owner of a half of Lot 9, Block 222, Hoag & Bell's Addition to Minneapolis, Minnesota, on South Sixth Street, in the downtown part of the city. In 1909 it executed a lease of the property for 100 years to Charles D. Collins, lessee. The lease was assignable and Collins promised, but failed, to assign it to John E. Andrus.
