Subpoenas duces tecum were served upon the appellant fertilizer companies commanding them to appear in the District Court and to produce a large mass of listed documents, books and papers which the attorneys of the United States intended to present to a grand jury summoned to inquire into complaints of alleged violations of the federal anti-trust laws by persons and corporations engaged in the fertilizer industry.
