This case is before us upon an agreed statement of facts. Stephen L'Hommedieu Slocum, a resident of the District of Columbia, died testate on December 14, 1933. He was possessed of a large estate, which, after satisfaction of just debts, specific devises and legacies, he devised and bequeathed to the American Security and Trust Company, in trust, with direction to the trustees to convert all the "rest, residue and remainder" of his estate...
