John McNeil entered the United States for permanent residence on June 10, 1924. In February, 1927, he was indicted for felony embezzlement. Upon advice of counsel he pleaded guilty in the state superior court, and applied for probation, which was denied. He was sentenced to an indeterminate term of imprisonment in the state penitentiary.
