Appellants are butchers and slaughter-house proprietors who, in the course of their business of buying and slaughtering livestock during the times here in question, paid to the appellee the charges due upon a number of carloads of livestock consigned to them. These shipments originated at points so remote from their destinations — Jersey City, N. J., Brooklyn, N. Y., and New York City, N. Y. ...
