Because of cloud on title and inadequate remedy at law, Phillips Petroleum Company sought to enjoin the collection of taxes under an assessment which was claimed to be discriminatory in contravention of article 8, § 1, of the Constitution of Texas, and the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. The discrimination claimed was that the complainant's property in Willbarger county, Tex., had been assessed at full value...
