Appellant was convicted at the December term of the District Court of the United States for the Middle District of North Carolina, at Greensboro, on an indictment charging him with conspiracy to violate the National Prohibition Act (27 USCA § 1 et seq.) and was sentenced to serve a term of one year and one day in the federal penitentiary.
