The foregoing suits are what have come to be known as war risk insurance cases. In each case the suit was instituted by a former soldier in the military forces during the World War for recovery on a war risk insurance policy issued to him while in the service, and wherein claim is made that the soldier was, while the policy was in force, permanently and totally disabled, and recovery is sought under the terms of the respective insurance policies...
