The patent in suit relates to luminous electrical discharge tubes, particularly to discharge tubes which are filled with rarefied gaseous neon. It is based upon the knowledge that it is of greatest importance that rarefled gaseous medium such as neon be and remain substantially free of impurities tending to adversely affect luminosity of the neon when the tube is in use.
