This is an appeal from an order of the District Court denying the petition of appellant for writ of habeas corpus. The question involved in the case is the right of the appellant, Kaichiro Sugimoto, a Japanese, to enter the United States upon his return from a trip to Japan. It appears that petitioner was admitted to Hawaii July 29, 1907, having arrived in Honolulu on the steamship Nippon Maru on that date. He came to San Francisco as a stowaway...
