C., on May 1, 1919, executed a mortgage on its real estate and other property, including its franchises, to the Guaranty Trust & Safe Deposit Company, a corporation of the state of New York, as trustee, to secure the payment of $2,000,000 of 15-year gold bonds bearing 6 per cent. interest.
