This appeal raises an important question under the Porto Rican Agricultural Loan Act of 1910, as amended. On August 7, 1924, Lebron, the intervener appellee, leased for ten years to defendant Munoz a sugar plantation. Punctual payment of the rent reserved was for the first five years guaranteed by appellant's assignors, the Goffinets and the Central, Santa Juana.
