The plaintiff is a corporation organized and existing by virtue of the laws of the state of Indiana, with its principal office in the city of Greencastle, Putnam county, Ind. It was organized and is now doing business as a public utility in the state of Indiana. It is the owner of the waterworks plant and system in Greencastle, and is now, and has been continuously for almost 40 years, furnishing water to its subscribers in that city.
