Two indictments were returned in the Southern district of Florida, the first district into which he was brought, against James Horace Alderman, appellant — one charging him with the murder of Victor A. Lamby, by shooting him with a pistol upon the high seas, on a vessel owned by the United States; and the other charging him with the murder of Sidney C.
