The writ of error in this case brings for review by this court the judgment and rulings of the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, at Charleston, by which plaintiff in error and his codefendant, the Equitable Land & Lumber Co. (who did not appear) was, on the verdict of the jury on the 30th of April, 1924, adjudged to pay the defendant in error the sum of $20,000. The facts are substantially as follows...
