William G. Twist, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, had an allotment of land. September 30, 1904, he made an oil and gas lease thereof to the Los Angeles-Cherokee Oil Company, to run 15 years.

Three of his children, Albert T., Edward C., and Jessie L., as Cherokee citizens, also had allotments of land. Their father, William G. Twist, as their guardian, made leases of their allotments to the same company as follows: Of Albert T.'s allotment...
