Each of these suits was an action by the receiver of an insolvent national bank, appointed by the Comptroller of the Currency on November 18, 1922, against a shareholder of that bank, to enforce the payment of an assessment of $100 per share made against the bank's shareholders by order of such Comptroller on January 27, 1923.
