Appellees sued appellant for a share of the royalties which they claim he was receiving from lessees on oil produced from certain lands in the Salt Creek, Wyoming, oil fields. Their claim is based on a written contract between one of the appellees, the Western Oil, Coal & Investment Company, hereinafter called Western Co., and appellant Richardson, of date January 10, 1921.
