These seven cases were by order of court consolidated and tried together, and by stipulation of counsel the only question to be raised was the right of the libelants to recover contribution in general average. There is no substantial dispute about the facts, the question being one of law, viz., whether the fact that the libelants' shipments were damaged by water poured into the hold by the New York fire department prevents them from recovering...
