The principal question attempted to be raised by the appellants is, whether the deed of trust or mortgage of the railroad company, executed in 1853, is a valid security, not merely for the bonds therein described, but for the interest-coupons that fell due in May and November, 1874, and which are now held by Alexander Duncan.
