Appellant James Barker was convicted, following a jury trial, of selling cocaine in violation of Health and Safety Code section 11352, subdivision (a). The trial court sentenced appellant to six years in state prison. He raises two issues on appeal: (1) his attorney provided constitutionally ineffective assistance, and (2) the recent amendment to Penal Code section 4019,1
